Choice of Doctors - This legislation allow employees the opportunity to choose a doctor to treat work related injuries.
Currently employees are required to go the doctor of the employer's choice. The problem with this is that often the
doctor is on retainer with the company and has the company's best interest in mind. Therefore, the doctor will
generally accommodate the company, often at the employee's expense. This bill could benefit the company as well
as the employee because the company wouldn't need to have the expense of keeping a doctor on retainer.

The Choice of Doctors legislation is particularly important to me. Currently the employee that is injured on the job is
required to go to the doctor the company chooses. With this bill the employee will be able to choose a doctor that is
familiar with their medical history and with which they are comfortable. The other problem with the company doctors
is that they are often on retainer to the company are more likely to make choices that are favorable to the company
to keep the income.
